Vanguard Gifted Academy Launches “Innovation Odyssey”: A Global STREAM Summer Camp for Young Innovators

This summer, local students won't just be learning about the world—they will be researching and inventing it. Vanguard Gifted Academy has officially opened enrollment for its highly anticipated 2026 "Innovation Odyssey" Summer Camp, a unique program that blends global cultural immersion with cutting-edge nanoscience and hands-on STREAM (Science, Technology, Research, Engineering, Arts, and Math) projects.

Designed for curious and high-ability learners, the Innovation Odyssey moves beyond traditional summer childcare to offer a dynamic, individualized learning environment. To ensure premium mentorship and academic excellence, the camp maintains a strict 1:8 teacher-to-student ratio and is capped at just 20 students per session.

A Day in the Life of a Global Innovator The camp curriculum is divided into two highly engaging halves:

• Morning Micro-Science & Global Inquiry: Each week, campers are immersed in a new global heritage. They will explore the engineering feats and language of the Cherokee people, the vibrant innovations of the Spanish-speaking world, the mathematical traditions of South Asia (Urdu), and the rich history of West Africa (Twi). Alongside this cultural journey, students will dive into "Exploding Nanoscience," utilizing official Nanooze science magazines to research concepts too small to see but powerful enough to change the world. Every camper gets to keep their Nanooze magazines to continue the discovery at home.

• Afternoon STREAM & The Arts: In the afternoons, research meets creativity. Students will engage in hands-on STREAM projects that bring their morning inquiries to life through the arts. Whether designing, building, or problem-solving, campers will learn that creative expression is a vital component of technological innovation.

Registration and Early Bird Pricing The Innovation Odyssey runs in two sessions:

• Session 1: June 1 – June 19

• Session 2: July 20 – July 31

Parents are encouraged to act quickly, as the 20 available spots per session are expected to fill fast. An Early Bird rate of $350 per week is available until March 31st. Beginning April 1st, the standard rate of $400 per week will apply.
