Vanguard Gifted Academy Announces 2025 Winter Student Showcase: An Exhibition of Discovery & Innovation

BATAVIA, IL – Vanguard Gifted Academy is proud to announce its upcoming 2025 Winter Student Showcase, taking place on Wednesday, December 17, from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. This student-led exhibition invites the community to witness a quarter’s worth of intensive research through an "Innovation Odyssey."

The showcase features interactive galleries where student experts will present high-level concepts across various disciplines. Highlights include:

• The Sands of Antiquity: A deep dive into the science of mummification and the geometry of ancient engineering.

• Farm to Table: An exploration of agricultural sustainability featuring QuiverVision Augmented Reality (AR) technology.

• The Logic Lab: Demonstrations of Sphero robotics, coding, and complex geometric art.

• The Medieval Hall: A showcase of 3D architectural design and student-produced digital cinema.

"At Vanguard, our mission is to guide gifted children toward a life of discovery, empowerment, and innovation," says Mrs. Trujillo, Head of School. "This showcase is a celebration of our students' unique potential and their ability to tackle complex, real-world challenges."

As a not-for-profit organization, Vanguard Gifted Academy relies on the support of the community to provide the personalized tools and high-tech environment essential for gifted learners. All proceeds from the evening’s Annual Fund drive will directly benefit student innovation programs.

Members of the press and the public are invited to attend. Guests will enjoy hospitality in the Innovation Lounge and receive a themed bookmark and seed packet upon departure to commemorate the evening's focus on discovery.
