BPS 101 Board of Education Adopts Vision 2030 Board Resolution of Support
Batavia, IL—The Batavia Public School District 101 Board of Education voted at their last meeting to adopt a resolution supporting Vision 2030, a blueprint for enhancing public education to better serve students in an evolving world.
Vision 2030 is a comprehensive effort developed by members of eight statewide education associations to create a framework of legislative goals and policy changes that would improve Illinois’ public education system.
The resolution of support specifically endorses Vision 2030's emphasis on four key priorities:
- Keeping students safe
- Keeping high-quality educators in front of students
- Enhancing post-secondary success
- Improving measurements of what is working well in schools
"Our support for Vision 2030 reflects our dedication to preparing students for the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow," said Craig Meadows, Board of Education President. "This initiative aligns with our district's strategic plan priorities to provide innovative, high-quality education while being responsible stewards of public resources."
The eight statewide partner associations include the Illinois Association of School Administrators, Illinois Association of School Boards, Illinois Principals Association, Illinois Association of School Business Officials, Illinois Association of Regional Superintendents of Schools, Superintendents’ Commission for the Study of Demographics, Illinois Alliance of Administrators of Special Education and Illinois Association of Rural and Small Schools.
BPS101 joins numerous other school systems across the state in supporting the Vision 2030 legislative initiative.
"Vision 2030 provides an aspirational framework to achieve educational excellence while maintaining fiscal responsibility. This approach will help us better serve our students, support our educators, and strengthen our educational programs," said Superintendent Tom Kim.
