Open to the public, this event takes place at the Batavia Public Library on Tuesday, May 6 beginning at 2 p.m.

Batavia, IL - The Batavia Chamber of Commerce is proud to host a Volunteer Fair on Tuesday, May 6, from 2 to 6 p.m. This event brings together more than 30 nonprofit organizations under one roof, offering a unique opportunity for individuals to explore diverse avenues of community service.

At the heart of every vibrant community is the spirit of giving back. The Volunteer Fair aims to foster this spirit by connecting passionate individuals with organizations that make a difference in Batavia and beyond. From supporting animal rescue to aiding those in need, there's a volunteer opportunity suited for every interest and skill set.

The event will take place at Batavia Public Library, located at 10 S. Batavia Avenue, Batavia, Illinois. Admission is free, and no registration is necessary. Doors will be open from 2 to 6 p.m., ensuring flexibility for attendees to drop in at their convenience.

In addition to showcasing a diverse array of nonprofit organizations, the Volunteer Fair will also feature the League of Women Voters of Central Kane County, who will be on-site to register voters. This highlights the importance of civic engagement alongside community service, emphasizing the power of collective action in shaping our shared future.

"We believe that by coming together to serve our community, we not only make a tangible impact but also forge lasting bonds that strengthen the fabric of society," said Margaret Perreault, president & CEO of the Batavia Chamber of Commerce. "Whether you're a seasoned volunteer or considering dipping your toes into community service for the first time, we welcome you to join us at the Volunteer Fair and discover the many ways you can make a difference."

The Volunteer Fair promises something for everyone, with opportunities available for volunteers of all ages. Whether you're a student looking to fulfill service hours, a professional seeking to give back, or a retiree eager to share your skills and experience, this event offers a platform to explore and connect with organizations aligned with your passions.
