Volunteer Opportunities

Help by volunteering at a number of sites across Southern Kane and Kendall counties. Some opportunities include Friendly Visiting, Thrift shop, food pantries, working with people with disabilities, and more! If you are a licensed massage therapist, we are currently seeking professionals to support Touch Therapy appointments at our Geneva and Warrenville locations. These are 45-minute sessions focused on enhancing patient well-being through therapeutic touch. If you are passionate about making a difference through art or therapeutic touch, we would love to hear from you. We do offer a small stipend per appointment to help with contining education and license.

Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly (LBFE) is seeking visiting volunteers in DuPage and Kane Counties to spend time with older adults who are aging alone. A simple visit, phone call, or shared conversation can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life.

The On-Site Volunteer Team Leader’s primary function is to act as the primary facilitator for an on-site party, including orientating, assigning, and guiding other volunteers, ensuring efficient and timely transportation for older adults, following LBFE Event Standards, and responding to incidents or concerns during the event.

Lazarus House's mission is to offer guests connected to our communities who are unhoused or at-risk hope for the future by providing hospitality, food, safe shelter and education - tools for life. We serve those with a connection to the Tri-Cities and western rural Kane County. We have many different volunteering opportunities from serving meals, event support and more-there is something for everyone! Please contact Megan, our Volunteer Coordinator at Volunteer@lazarushouse.net

This is extra food that is needed due to the loss of food donations from local grocery stores and restaurants. We typically feed 60-80 people per meal between in-house guests and those in need of food from the community. That being said, whatever amount of food you can donate will be greatly appreciated.

Help seniors in our community!  Batavia RSVP needs volunteers with their own vehicles to drive seniors to medical appointments.  We also need volunteers to staff the office, primarily to coordinate requests for rides with our pool of volunteer drivers.

Our volunteer program offers a meaningful way for individuals (ages 16+) to support shelter animals while making a positive impact in the community. With a wide range of opportunities available, you can get involved in ways that align with your interests and strengths. Click on our logo for more information.
