Expectations:
The On-Site Volunteer Team Leader’s primary function is to act as the primary facilitator for an on-site party, including orientating, assigning, and guiding other volunteers, ensuring efficient and timely transportation for older adults, following LBFE Event Standards, and responding to incidents or concerns during the event.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Following the guidelines for in-party events, as defined in the LBFE Standards Manual.
  • Guide party volunteers in their on-site roles, including day-of orientation, job specific instructions, problem-solving, and reassurance.
  • Ensure older adult participation through arrival/departure transportation (accompanying volunteers, PACE bus, Uber, etc,) on-time arrivals and departures, and follow up for ‘no-show’ or cancelled older adults.
  • With staff support, respond to issues appropriately. Complete incident reports as needed.
  • Collaborate with participating partners, as appropriate, such as in-person volunteer groups or special guests.

Commitment:
  • Participation in at least 4 LBFE parties per year.
  • 6 hours for each party date.
  • 2 hours on preparation time per party date.
  • Quarterly 1 hour meetings.
  • Initial training includes shadowing at two events.
 
Training and Support:
  • LBFE Standards training
  • Quarterly meetings on party planning or feedback.
  • Regular communication with staff.
  • Ongoing all-volunteer monthly Zoom meetings
