Position Summary

The Preschool Teacher Aide supports the Lead Teacher in providing a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment for children ages 3–5. The ideal candidate enjoys working with young children, demonstrates patience and enthusiasm, and is eager to contribute to a STEM-focused early learning program. Experience working with children with disabilities or unique learning needs is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing daily activities and STEM-based lessons.

• Support children’s learning through play, exploration, and guided instruction.

• Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom atmosphere.

• Provide individual or small-group support to children as needed.

• Assist with classroom setup, cleanup, and organization of materials.

• Supervise children during activities, transitions, and outdoor play.

• Communicate positively with children, staff, and families.

• Follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required); coursework or degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.

• Previous experience working with preschool-aged children, preferably in a group setting.

• Experience or interest in working with children with disabilities or unique learning needs.

• Enthusiasm for STEM education and hands-on learning.

• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.

• Must pass background check.

Compensation & Benefits

• Part-time position: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM.

• Hourly pay based on experience and qualifications.
