WGN Radio Commentator to speak at Batavia Library

The citizens have spoken, and the votes have been counted. Now the politicians have to make good on their campaign promises and get to work. What can we realistically expect of our government beginning in 2009?
 
“The Election Is Over: What’s Next” will be presented at 7 p.m., Monday, November 17, at the Batavia Public Library, 10 S. Batavia Avenue.
 
Paul Green, WGN Radio political analyst, columnist, and professor, will analyze the 2008 presidential, state, and local elections. Green will ponder the game plan of the new administration and offer a preview to the 2010 Illinois gubernatorial election, for which he recommends people “buckle their political seatbelts.”
 
Green is the Director of the Institute for Politics and Arthur Rubloff Professor of Policy Studies at Roosevelt University, and author of several books and articles on Illinois and Chicago politics. He earned his Ph.D. at the University of Chicago.
