Start the holidays right with one of the most highly-anticipated events of the season – Fox Valley Concert Band’s Holiday Concert. “Home for the Holidays” will be presented in the band’s new performance venue, the beautiful Norris Cultural Arts Center, on Sunday, December 5, at 3:00 p.m. As always,the concert is free and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Now in its 28th season, Fox Valley Concert Band is the area’s leading community wind ensemble, and has grown to a membership of more than 80 musicians, representing nearly 30 communities from throughout northern Illinois. Itswide-ranging repertoire includes band and wind ensemble classics, as well as contemporary works. Since its founding in 1978, the Dellora A. Norris Cultural Arts Center has provided a world-classvisual and performing arts venue for the enjoyment of the residents of the Fox Valley and NorthernIllinois. FVCB’s 2010-11 season will include two additional performances at Norris, both Sunday matinees at 3:00 p.m.: “Salute to Youth” on March 6 and “Conductor Highlights” on May 8.
