WATCH YOUR HEAD! That’s right…”The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” is returning to the Albright Theatre this fall! Batavia’s annual BATfest celebration just wouldn’t be the same without an appearance from good friend, Ichabod Crane, and his arch nemsis, The Headless Horseman. The Albright Theatre’s twists on Washington Irving’s familiar tale have always surprised and delighted audiences, and this year’s production will be no exception! “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” based on Washington Irving’sclassic tale Rated G AUDITION DATES: August 19 & 20 at 7:30 pm CALL BACKS: August 21 by invitation only at 7:30 pm PERFORMANCE DATES: October 12, 13, 19, 20 Albright Theatre 100 N. IslandAve Batavia, IL 60510 The Albright Theatre is located on the 3rd floor of the government building. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Callbacks are optional and may be held on Tuesday, August 21 at 7:30 pm (by invitation only). Casting at least 6-10 malesand 5-7 females – ages 10-100 CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS* Narrator – Narrates the show. May be male or female and of any age. Ichabod Crane – The town’s new teacher. A bit silly, pretentious and easily spooked. Brom Bones – The town bully and “rough and tumble” leader of the “Sleepy Hollow Boys”. Katrina Van Tassel – The beautiful and very spoiled daughter of the towns’s wealthiest farmer. Peter Van Tassel – Young and mischevious . One of the “Sleepy Hollow Boys”. Katrina’s brother. Irving Van Ripper - Young and mischevious . One of the “Sleepy Hollow Boys”. Washington – Townsperson. One of the “Sleepy Hollow Boys”. Van Tassel/Van Ripper – Townsperson. Father of Katrina. Emily Vooress – Classmate of Peter & Irving. Townsperson. Judith Van Ripper – Vendor. Townsperson. Charlotte Irving – Vendor. Townsperson. The Headless Horseman – small, but FUN role. Must be atleast 6 feet tall. * As is tradition: characters are often added, deleted and/or combined. Actors may be asked to perform more than one role and/or added roles that may not be listed above. Performance Dates for “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” are October 12, 13, 19, 20. Fridays at 7:30pmand Saturdays at 2:30pm & 7:30pm.
