Batavia’s annual BATfest celebration just wouldn’t be the same without an appearance from good friend\, Ichabod Crane\, and his arch nemsis\, The Headless Horseman.  The Albright Theatre’s twists on Washington Irving’s familiar tale have always surprised and delighted  audiences\, and this year’s production will be no exception!  \n\n“The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” based on Washington Irving’sclassic tale \nRated G\n\nAUDITION DATES: August 19 & 20 at 7:30 pm\nCALL BACKS: August  21 by invitation only at 7:30 pm\nPERFORMANCE DATES: October 12\, 13\, 19\, 20\n\nAlbright Theatre \n100 N. IslandAve \nBatavia\, IL 60510 \n  \nThe Albright Theatre is located on the 3rd floor of the government building. \n  \nAuditions will consist of cold readings from the script. \n\nCallbacks are optional and may be held on Tuesday\, August 21 at 7:30 pm (by invitation only). \n\nCasting at least 6-10 malesand 5-7 females – ages 10-100\n\nCHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS*\n\nNarrator – Narrates the show. May be male or female and of any age.\nIchabod Crane – The town’s new teacher. A bit silly\, pretentious and easily spooked.\nBrom Bones – The town bully and “rough and tumble” leader of the “Sleepy Hollow Boys”.\nKatrina Van Tassel – The beautiful and very spoiled daughter of the towns’s wealthiest farmer.\nPeter Van Tassel – Young and mischevious . One of the “Sleepy Hollow Boys”. Katrina’s brother.\nIrving Van Ripper - Young and mischevious . One of the “Sleepy Hollow Boys”.\nWashington – Townsperson. One of the “Sleepy Hollow Boys”.\nVan Tassel/Van Ripper – Townsperson. Father of Katrina.\nEmily Vooress – Classmate of Peter & Irving. Townsperson.\nJudith Van Ripper – Vendor. Townsperson.\nCharlotte Irving – Vendor. Townsperson.\nThe Headless Horseman – small\, but FUN role. Must be atleast 6 feet tall.\n\n* As is tradition: characters are often added\, deleted and/or combined.
