The Batavia Chamber of Commerce is pleased to welcome Kristen Winter as its new Membership and Engagement Coordinator.
Kristen brings more than 20 years of experience in customer service, account management, and supporting local businesses. She has a passion for building relationships and delivering exceptional service. In 2025, Kristen made the intentional decision to transition from a corporate career to pursue work that creates a meaningful impact in the local community.
In her new role, Kristen will focus on welcoming new members, strengthening relationships with current members, and helping Batavia businesses take full advantage of the connections, resources, and opportunities available through the Chamber.
“We are thrilled to welcome Kristen to the Batavia Chamber team,” said Margaret Perreault, President and CEO of the Batavia Chamber of Commerce. “Her extensive professional experience, genuine interest in people, and commitment to our community make her an excellent fit for this role. Kristen understands that strong relationships are at the heart of a successful Chamber, and I know our members will enjoy getting to know her. She will be a wonderful resource for our businesses and an enthusiastic ambassador for the Batavia community.”
Kristen attended Carson Newman University, where she studied photography. She lives in Batavia with her husband and son. Outside of work, Kristen volunteers with the Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry and the local school district. She also enjoys baking, reading, exploring nature, visiting farmers markets and small businesses, taking road trips, and spending time with family and friends.
Joining the Chamber is a natural next step for Kristen, allowing her to combine her professional experience with her commitment to helping local businesses and the Batavia community thrive.
Kristen succeeds Shirley Mott, who is retiring after seven years of dedicated service to the Batavia Chamber. During her time with the Chamber, Shirley made a lasting impact through her commitment to the organization, its members, and the Batavia business community. Her warmth, knowledge, and dedication will be greatly missed. The Chamber is grateful for her many contributions and wishes her all the best in her retirement.
