SciTech Announces Adam Sparks as New Director of Programs and Education
[Batavia, Illinois] — [06.01.2026] — SciTech is proud to announce the appointment of Adam Sparks as the organization’s new Director of Programs and Education. Bringing nearly two decades of experience in education, nonprofit leadership, and program development, Sparks will lead the continued growth and innovation of SciTech’s STEM education initiatives and community programming.
Throughout his career, Sparks has dedicated himself to creating meaningful educational experiences rooted in relationship building, accessibility, and student-centered learning. His leadership experience spans K–12 education, nonprofit management, curriculum development, strategic planning, and organizational improvement.
Most recently, Sparks served as a senior leader for one of Chicago's first charter school networks. Prior to that, he held leadership roles as Principal at LEARN Charter School Network and Acero Schools, School Director at Community Teamwork, and Director at Camp Starfish, one of the country's only residential summer camps that provides a 1:1 ratio in service of children with disabilities.

Sparks’ professional philosophy centers on the value of human connection, strategic collaboration, and data-informed decision-making. He believes that strong organizations are built through trust, clear communication, and mission-driven leadership.

As Director of Programs and Education, Sparks will oversee the development and implementation of SciTech’s educational programming, partnerships, outreach initiatives, and strategic growth efforts. His leadership will support SciTech’s mission of fueling curiosity and igniting passion for STEM learning through accessible, hands-on experiences for youth and families.
