$50,000 Grand Prize and Early Bird Drawings Support Local Charities, Community Needs and Career Education
BATAVIA, Ill. — September 1, 2026 — The Rotary Club of Batavia has officially launched its 38th Annual Charity Raffle, continuing a longtime community tradition that gives participants the opportunity to win significant cash prizes while supporting organizations and programs serving the Tri-cities area and beyond.
Raffle tickets are $100 each, with only 1,200 tickets available. Proceeds from the raffle allow the Rotary Club of Batavia to support local charities and nonprofit organizations addressing needs such as mental health, food insecurity and housing, as well as scholarships for students pursuing Career and Technical Education programs.
“This raffle is about much more than the chance to win,” said Tony Winter, Past President and Fundraising Chair of the Rotary Club of Batavia. “Every ticket represents an investment in our community. The generosity of those who participate allows Rotary to strengthen organizations doing important work and help create opportunities for people throughout our area.”
$50,000 Grand Prize and Two Early Bird Drawings
This year’s raffle includes three drawings:

  • September 22: $1,000 Early Bird Drawing
  • October 21: $2,000 Early Bird Drawing
  • November 21: $50,000 Grand Prize, plus three runners-up prizes of $1,000 each
Winners of both Early Bird drawings remain eligible for the Grand Prize drawing, giving those who purchase tickets early multiple opportunities to win.
The Rotary Club of Batavia is partnering with Gerald Hyundai of North Aurora in presenting this year’s raffle. The partnership continues the strong community support that has helped make the annual raffle possible for nearly four decades.

Funds raised through the annual raffle help the Rotary Club of Batavia respond to needs throughout the community. Through its charitable giving, the club assists organizations serving individuals and families while also investing in educational opportunities for area students.
“The impact of the raffle continues long after the winning tickets are drawn,” Winter said. “The dollars raised return to the community through organizations and programs that are making a difference every day. That is what makes this event so meaningful to our members.”
Tickets are available beginning September 1 and can be purchased at BataviaRotaryCharities.com. With only 1,200 tickets being sold, community members are encouraged to purchase early.
The Grand Prize is subject to withholding as required by law.
