Special Overnight Parking for Thanksgiving Weekend Announced
 
Public parking will be available in the Batavia Public Library parking lot on Fridays and Saturdays from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. beginning Friday, Nov. 22. The Batavia City Council approved an agreement with the library to allow free public parking to support patrons of businesses along Route 31 and downtown Batavia. Vehicles left outside these hours or regular library hours may be towed. Parking signs with the new hours will installed soon.

Overnight parking during Thanksgiving weekend

The Batavia Police Department has announced that overnight parking on residential streets will be allowed during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. From Wednesday through Saturday nights (Nov. 27–30), enforcement of the City’s overnight parking ordinance will be suspended. Regular enforcement will resume on Monday morning. However, anytime snowfall exceeds 2 inches, on-street parking will not be permitted.
