About Us
I’m Stacey Montgomery, founder of Believe and Be Brave, an initiative that helps kids build confidence, grow their emotional awareness, and take meaningful action in their lives and communities.
Through my guided journals, workshops, and service-based programs, I offer creative, practical tools that support the social and emotional development of students ages 8 to 12. My flagship journal, What’s Your Super Power?, helps kids recognize and celebrate what makes them unique. My newest journal, How Can I Make A Difference?, introduces the concept of service and helps students reflect on how they can create positive change.
Each of my journals combines writing prompts, drawing activities, reflection questions, and action steps. They are used by teachers, parents, Girl Scout leaders, and youth group facilitators across the country. I also offer a free monthly Kindness Calendar and email resources to support adults who want to raise confident and compassionate kids.
I bring experience from the classroom and the community. As a teaching assistant in an elementary school and a longtime Girl Scout troop leader, I understand what today’s kids need to thrive. I believe that confidence grows through encouragement, reflection, and small brave actions.
Believe and Be Brave is based in Aurora, Illinois. I’m always open to partnering with schools, nonprofits, local businesses, and anyone who shares my commitment to helping young people believe in themselves and be brave enough to make a difference.
