Description
This brilliantly written, multi-layered play focuses on the charged, volatile, yet sometimes loving relationship between George ?an associate History professor at the local university?and his wife, Martha?daughter of the university?s president. After returning home from a night of drinking at a faculty party hosted by Martha?s father, George is surprised to find out that Martha has invited the new biology professor and his naïve wife over for a nightcap. Drinks flow and the young couple, Nick and Honey, soon get caught up in the turbulent marital war. Though the award-winning play tackles serious themes, it is also viciously funny at times, powered by Albee?s biting dialogue.
