WATCH YOUR HEAD! The Albright Theatre proudly presents “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” based on Washington Irving’s classic tale. The Albright Theatre Company celebrates the fall season with “TheLegend of Sleepy Hollow”, based on Washington Irving’s classic tale. Some of the Albright’s favorite characters are returning to the stage this fall! You all remember the burly Brom Bones, the beautiful Katrina Van Tassel, the lovable Ichabod Crane, and his nemesis, the Headless Horseman! Washington Irving’s time-honored tale of Ichabod Crane and the Headless Horseman gives the theatre’s youngeractors a chance to shine and always gets a special “Albright Twist”. This family-friendly show is sure to surprise and delight audiences of all ages! “This is a well-known, classic story. However, you never know what twists and turns could happen,” says director Jeannine Collins. “The little village of Sleepy Hollow is haunted and you never know what those ghosts might do!” The tale is spun by the quirky Narrator (Erin Cauley of St. Charles). Griffin Johnson of St. Charles is the loveable and awkward Ichabod Crane. He and the boisterous Brom Bones (Mark Conway of Algonquin) fight forthe attentions of Katrina Van Tassel (Angela Rak of Geneva), the lovely heir to her father’s farm (Van Tassel, played by Ron Gustin of Batavia). Meanwhile, Dame Van Ripper (Rebecca Frohling of Elgin) wrangles her chickens and her “Sleepy Hollow Boys”: Peter (Tony Avila of Batavia) and Dieter (Benny Avila of Batavia). The menacing Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow is played by Batavia’s MichaelGustin. Emily (Evangeline Beck of Sugar Grove), Charlotte (Carolyn Knol of Geneva), Judith (EllieSpindle of Geneva), Washington (Connor Madziarczyk of Sugar Grove) and Sarah (Annie Hanlin of Batavia) round out this spooky and silly cast. This production is led by Director, Jeannine Collins of Carol Stream and by Stage Manager, Gina Micheli of Batavia. “My talented and creative cast and crewbring a sense of excitement and fun to each rehearsal,” remarks Collins, “You’ll have to come to this year’s production to see what all happens in our quaint little village of Sleepy Hollow!” “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” will run weekends October 12th – 20th.
