Gibby's Wine Den
Go from basics to expert in this interactive class. Part I: Learn which wine “cools” spicy foods orcompliments enjoy salty foods. What about lettuce???? This is a fun way to use the senses and experience the interrelationship of basic tastes of sweet, sour, salt and bitter with wine. Part II: Building upon the basic principals learned in Part I of Food and Wine Pairing, this course allows the opportunity to get specific on matching certain foods and menus to the right wine or range of wines. Learn different wines to select with the same dish or with a different sauce. Focus will be on certaindishes and particular sauces, as well as selecting the right wines for each course of a multiple course meal. Participants will emerge confident in their ability to tackle most menu situations. Thisis a highly interactive class. Participants will sample five wines at each session September 26 & October 3 at 4pm.
