Description
The Batavia Plain Dirt Gardeners will resume monthly meetings on September 16, 2025 at 6:45 p.m. at the Batavia Public Library at 10 S. Batavia Ave. Jack Pizzo, Founder and Principal of The Pizzo Group will address the topic: Nature Restored.
Successful ecological restoration and sustainable landscape projects result in spaces that are both visually appealing and ecologically functional. These projects meet the goals of owners, consumers, and regulators alike. While good design and planning are key to short-term success, it’s long-term stewardship that transforms a project into something truly beautiful and award-winning. Jack will share practical insights and examples of successful restoration efforts.
Founded in 1988, The Pizzo Group is one of the Midwest's largest ecological restoration firms with over 170 industry awards. Jack is committed to sustainability and naturally beautiful habitats and is an expert in successfully restoring natural areas and growing deep-rooted, native plants.
At Pizzo Group, he is charged with scientifically evaluating current ecological restoration practices for the enhancement and/or establishment of native flora and fauna. This includes identifying and implementing methods of improvement for the materials and processes used to ensure ecosystems thrive.
Please join us for this compelling and important presentation.
