About the Presentation: Aurora University's Human Resource Institute presents: Concealed Carry in Illinois - What HR Needs to Know In July of 2013, Illinois became the last state to pass a concealed carry law. The law has broad ramifications for employers and specifically for Human Resource professionals. Attend our upcoming HRI where Sonal Shah, JD, and labor/employment counsel for the Management Association, will address employers' rights, requirements and concerns about the concealed carry law and help you plan for situations that may arise in your workplace regarding firearms and potential violence. About the Presenter: Sonal Shah, J.D., is labor/employment counsel for the Management Association (located in Downers Grove, IL). Sonal has significant experience counseling employers on properly complying with the law and managing their workforce. In addition, she provides employment law compliance training for managers, supervisors, and HR professionals. Sonal has a B.S. in Business Administration from The Ohio State University and a J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis.
