Description
**Community Friday at Valley Sheltered Workshop: A Great Way to Support a Local Non-Profit**
If you are looking for a meaningful way to spend your lunch break on the last Friday of the month, why not join the Community Friday event at Valley Sheltered Workshop (VSW)? VSW is a non-profit organization that provides employment opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities. They partner with businesses, large or small, to bring employment opportunities closer to the disabled community. They are located at 325 Main Street in Batavia, Illinois.
Community Friday is a monthly event that takes place over lunch and offers an opportunity for networking and the community to come in and see what VSW has been doing and has in store for the future. They also highlight the various relationships they have in the community and celebrate those supporters. You can meet the staff, the board members, and the employees of VSW and learn more about their mission and vision. You can also enjoy delicious food and drinks while supporting a great cause.
VSW has been serving the community since 1966, when Rev. Gilbert Johnstone established it.
VSW also has a Facebook page to follow its updates and events.
If you are interested in attending the next Community Friday event, don't hesitate to contact VSW at (630) 879-2359 or email them at info@valleyshelteredworkshop.org. You can also visit their website at www.valleyshelteredworkshop.org to learn more about their services and how you can get involved.
Community Friday is a great way to connect with a local non-profit that empowers adults with developmental disabilities through employment. We hope to see you there!
