1. Jason Bajor, Assistant City Manager, City of Batavia

Jason took the Assistant City Manager position left by the resignation of Randy Recklaus, who stepped down in February 2011 to become village manager of Clarendon Hills. Bajor had been with Des Plaines since 2000. He began as an assistant city manager in charge of human resources, and became acting city manager upon David Niemeyer's departure in May 2007. Bajor became city manager of Des Plaines in February 2008. He has a master's degree in public administration and is working on an associate degree in accounting.

The City of Batavia has just approved a full time position for Economic Development. Jason will be starting the dialogue about what to expect from this new position. We look forward to hearing the City’s view of this position and how the Chamber can help in growing the businesses in the City.

If you are interested in how the City is focusing on growth, this meeting is a must.
