Description
We our back for our 6th annual Moose-a-Palooza Music Festival and Fundraiser at the Batavia Moose Lodge outdoor music venue.
Don't miss the talented bands at this year's event while supporting a great cause. Spend the day with fantastic music, food and drink. All net proceeds from your ticket donations go to help the Batavia Moose Lodge support the children and teens in need at Mooseheart Child City and School. Learn more at https://www.mooseheart.org/.
7:00 pm: Backyard Tire Fire – Led by front man Edward David Anderson, and returning from a short hiatus, this revered Illinois band honors our stage as they promote their latest release. Known for infectious melodies and memorable messages the band has 9 releases and have played countless shows across the US and Canada. Here is what the Nashville Scene had to say: “Bar Room Semantics is infused with the kind of dusty, bootstrap-pulling resilience that Midwesterners have spent decades perfecting”.
5:00 pm: Jimmy Nick and Don’t Tell Mama – Back by popular demand! Jimmy is an old-fashioned guitar slinging blues prodigy. His mission is to expose the next generation to the blues. Driven by his Motown-tight band of Chicago Blues Hall of Famers, Don’t Tell Mama, featuring saxophone, bass, and drums, Jimmy excites crowds with his electrifying guitar work, fresh harp, clever lyrics and animated stage theatrics. His high energy blues and rock-n-roll captivate audiences, and forge instant fans.
3:00 pm: Ivy Ford - Versatile, talented, and an old soul. From singing the blues to being sultry, Ivy is an indigo artist whose gift connects those who are around her and those who listen. The “Blues Kitten” serves an experience of music to soothe your soul, fill your heart, with an energy that is most magical. We are glad she is taking some time off from world tours to be a part of our event.
Food and Drink: Food supplied by Hippie Gourmet Grilled Cheese and Dulce Tentaciones Mexicanas. Must be 21+ to purchase alcoholic beverages.
Things to Know: Please bring your bag chairs to set up in our shaded lawn area. Some items for purchase may be cash only. Gates open at 2:30 pm.
Parking: Limited parking at the Batavia Moose Lodge and surrounding neighborhood. Park and Shuttle from Mooseheart Child City and School just 1 mile south of the music venue on Hwy 31.
