6 Women is a multi-disciplinary performance featuring original video, dance and sound scores by CoreProject Chicago artists and collaborators. The evening-length work includes a variety of artisticvoices exploring the various feminine roles the artists have taken on in their daily lives. 6 Womenwill create a web of movement and media throughout the gallery bringing the audience in close proximity with CPC's dynamic explorations. Tickets: $5 can be paid in advance in the gallery or at thedoor. Core Project Chicago is a dance based interdisciplinary arts company pushing the boundaries of storytelling. They are committed to collaborative exploration of the human journey through movement, music, video and text in live performance. CPC nurtures fellow artists by providing opportunities for professional growth and encourages public interaction within the arts. Our mission is to empower communities through arts performance and education. The company's interactive Water Street Studios performance will feature the work of Chicago artists, including Artistic Director Erin Rehberg and principal and guest artists Megan Beseth, Kate O'Hanlon, Erin Sansone and Columbia College Chicago graduate Jasmine Serena Greer. The work will also feature artists from the group's newly expandedbranch in Nashville, TN, including Associate Artistic Director Carrie Gant, Composer-in-Residence Spencer Lambright and Principal Artists Tiffany Philpot and Ashley Strickland. CPC's work has been called "soaringly acrobatic and zealously performed" by Chicago Dance Critic Sid Smith. Join them for an intimate evening of interdisciplinary movement and media.
