DESCRIPTION:The 22nd Annual National Senior Health & Fitness Day is Wednesday\, May 27\, 2015 and on that day The Holmstad is sponsoring a free Senior Health & Fitness Day Health Fair from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. This year's theme is "If You Keep Moving You'll Keep Improving." The free event is open to the public. The Holmstad is a faith-based\, not-for-profit continuing care retirement community located at 700 W. Fabyan Parkway\, Batavia\, Ill.\, 60510.\n\n\n\nThe schedule for the day's events will be: Health Fair\, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. More than 40 vendors will cater to every dimension of wellness. There will be fresh produce for purchase from the local farmers' market\, interactive workshops\, free health screenings and hand/chair massages\, free giveaways\, raffle prizes and more. Attendees are encouraged to bring donations of toothpaste and toothbrushes to support the SMILE Drive for the Wayside Cross Ministries.\n\n\n\n"Moving to Happiness  - Living the Prosperous Life After 50" with Petra Kolber at 1 p.m. Worldwide inspirational speaker Petra Kolber will share tools to help you flourish and thrive as you step into the middle stage of life and beyond. She's a regular guest on The Today Show and CBS Early Show\, and writes a health and happiness column for Spry Living Magazine.\n\n\n\nHealthy Cooking Demos\, every 30 minutes from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Welcome spring with delicious and healthy recipes from The Holmstad's Executive Chef Warren DeWolfe.
