DESCRIPTION:On April 9\, 2015\, Zonta Club of St. Charles\, Geneva\, Batavia is hosting its first ever LUNAFEST  film festival to be held at the Arcada Theater\, 105 E. Main Street\,  St. Charles\, IL.  Doors open at 6pm for a reception with local sponsors\, with films beginning at 7pm.  Advance tickets are $25 general admission and $15 for students.  Tickets at the door are $30\, cash only. Proceeds from the event will be used to help Zonta support our community services organizations and Breast Cancer research.  \n\n\n\n"LUNAFEST  connects women\, their stories and their causes through film.  This traveling film festival spotlights the work of a diverse array of talented women filmmakers with intelligent\, funny and thought provoking themes.  This season's program of eight selected films will compel discussion\, make you laugh\, tug at your heartstrings and motivate you to make a difference in your community. Incredibly diverse in style and content\, LUNAFEST  is united by a common thread of exceptional storytelling   by\, for and about women."\n\n \n\nZonta Club of St. Charles\, Geneva\, Batavia is a chapter of Zonta International\, a club dedicated to empowering women through service and advocacy.  The missions of LUNAFEST  and Zonta intersect as both entities strive to enhance the quality of life for women worldwide.
