The Spring Contests for our club are being held this Friday\, February 5th\, for our International Speech Contest and our Evaluations Contest. Two of our members will qualify from each of those contests to advance to the next level: The Area Contest. Continued qualifications through the next levels may bring one of our speakers to the International Toastmasters Convention in Washington\, DC in August.\n\n\n\nThis meeting does not follow our normal agenda\, but does provide an opportunity to see what Toastmasters members from our club are able to do with the skills they have learned at Toastmasters.\n\n\n\nWhat is Toastmasters? Consider this: When will you be called upon to do a presentation in a real world scenario? A toast at a wedding? Saying something at a graduation? Being asked to stand up and say a few words at the spur of the moment?
