DESCRIPTION:On June 22nd the Batavia Plain Dirt Gardeners will hold their 2013 garden walk\, “Gardens of De-Lightand Shade”.  From 9 am to 4 pm seven beautifully mature shade and sun gardens will be open for viewing. Not to be missed are 2 ½ heavily wooded acres along the Fox River\, a 100 year old homesite featuring a large\, sunny vegetable patch\; a chemical-free shade garden wrapping around two koi-filled ponds\, and a French-inspired oasis with pathways that flow casually past splashing waterfalls.\nAdvance tickets may be purchased for $13.00 at the Batavia Park District and several local businesses. The day of the walk\, tickets will be available for $15.00 at the Holmstad (a Covenant Retirement Community)\, 700 West Fabyan Parkway\, in Batavia. Follow the on-site signs to the Ahlstrand Cultural Center where a complimentary tea will be presented by The Holmstad staff.
