DESCRIPTION:The Albright Theatre Company announces auditions for "The Best Chrostmas Pageant Ever"! Come be a part of this holiday favorite!\n \n“The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” by Barbara Robinson \nOctober 2 &3\nSunday:  Auditions for ages 6-10 at 1pm and Auditions for ages 11-16 at 4pm\nMonday: Auditions for ages 16-50 at 7:30pm\n\nAlbright Theatre \n100 N. Island Ave \nBatavia\, IL 60510 \n  \nThe Albright Theatre is located on the 3rd floor of the government building. \n  \nAuditions may consist of acting exercises\, cold readings from the script and/or group singing (depending upon the role and thereading level of the actor).\n\nCallbacks are optional and may be held on Tuesday\, October 4 at 7:30pm (by invitation only). \n  \nTake cover! The Herdmans are coming back to the Albright for the Christmas Pageant tryouts and everyone is horrified. Why? Because they steal\, burn down buildings\, andterrorize the neighborhood! Your family will love this story of how the Herdmans and their communitylearn to work together\, while learning the true meaning of Christmas! “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” is a family favorite that always gets a special Albright touch and proudly showcases the theatre’s younger actors.  \n\nCasting 8 Adult roles (ages 25-50) and 20+ Children’s Roles (ages 6 and up).\n\nCHILDREN’S ROLES (ages 6 and up)\nBeth Bradley – The narrator\, strong voice and presence. Mustbe a strong reader.\nCharlie Bradley – Lovable kid brother.\nRalph Herdman – The oldest Herdman child\, tough\, sarcastic and surly.\nImogene Herdman – The oldest girl\, she is bossy and domineering\, buthas a softer side. \nLeroy Herdman – A schoolyard bully. Charlie’s nemesis.\n*Ollie Herdman – A troublemaker\, Claude’s partner in crime.\n*Claude Herdman – A troublemaker\, Ollie’s partner.\nGladys Herdman – Youngest Herdman. Small\, wirey\, feisty.\nAlice Wendelken – Prim\, proper\, pain inthe neck\, know-it-all.\nMaxine -  Another "goody-goody" girl who narrates the pageant.\nElmer Hopkins – The Reverend's son. \nChristmas Pageant Kids – ages 6-10\nHobie\, David\, Doris\, Juanita – These roles have minimal lines)\nBaby Angels/ Angel Choir – Non-speaking roles for younger actors. Will sing a couple simple Christmas Carols in a group (Casting up to 10 actors)\n\nADULT ROLES (ages 25-50)\nGrace Bradley – Mother of Beth and Charlie\, and new director of the Christmas pageant.\nBob Bradley – Grace's husband\, an average American dad.\n*Reverend Hopkins – Church pastor. \nHelen Armstrong– Longtime director of the Pageant. Middle-aged.  \nMrs. McCarthy\, Mrs. Slocum\, Mrs. Clark\, Mrs. Clausing – The Queen Bee and her worker bees\, they are described as “typical church ladies.” \n\n*These roles are not gender specific. \n    \nPerformance Dates for “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” are December 9\, 10\, 11\, 16\, 17 & 18.
