DESCRIPTION:The Batavia Historical Society and Batavia Library Foundation invite the community to be part of the 150th anniversary of Mark Twain's visit to Batavia. This historical reenactment\, featuring Chicago's internationally acclaimed Richard Henzel as Samuel L. Clemens\, is an educational and entertaining event which celebrates our past. Join us to celebrate 'The Year of Mark Twain in Batavia'! Show begins at 7:00 pm at the Batavia Fine Arts Centre\, $30 reserved seating.\n\n\n\nPress Release:\n\n\n\nThe Batavia Public Library proudly presents Jeff Award nominee Richard Henzel performing his signature piece\, Mark Twain in Person. This production will be at the Batavia Fine Arts Centre\, 1201 Main Street\, Batavia on September 26 at 7 PM.\n\n \n\nHenzel brings Samuel L. Clemens to Batavia with a captivating mix of reminiscences\, readings\, and gentle humor drawn from the author's writings and biographies.\n\n \n\nAs a budding thespian at an Ohio high school in 1967\, Henzel saw Hal Holbrook do his one-man Twain show on television and was hooked. He put together his show while still a teenager and performed it in summer stock\, and then kept performing it.  Henzel has performed the show more than 1\,000 times for audiences in 40 states\, Canada and the United Kingdom.\n\n \n\nThis is a charitable event in support of Batavia Public Library Foundation and the Batavia Depot Museum Expansion project.
