Dog Groomer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, caring dog groomer to join our established doggie daycare and boarding facility. This role is ideal for a groomer who is patient, safety-focused, and committed to providing a low-stress, positive grooming experience for every dog. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work and values the comfort and well-being of the dogs in their care.

Groomers will work within a busy daycare environment and coordinate scheduling with management. Our goal is to provide high-quality grooming services while maintaining a calm, supportive, and professional atmosphere for both pups and pet parents.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform full-service grooming, including bathing, brushing, drying, haircuts, nail trims, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, and anal gland expression
• Practice patient, low-stress handling techniques for dogs of all sizes and temperaments
• Assess coat and skin condition and communicate any concerns to pet parents or management
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized grooming area
• Provide excellent customer service and clear communication with pet parents
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and handling protocols

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of professional dog grooming experience
• Ability to groom a variety of breeds, coat types, and sizes
• Strong animal handling and safety skills
• Patience, professionalism, and strong communication skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to dog comfort and wellness

Compensation

• 50% commission
