He looked up one day and had distribution in the US\, UK\, Europe\, South America and the Pacific Rim. Along the way\, they had started to rep products for half-a-dozen other product developers. He sold his stake in that company a few years later. By age 35\, Joe had been involved as a founder\, executive or advisor in the startup and growth of over 20 companies. Three of them were his own startups. One was a lead generation company. The next was a sales training venture. The last (and most recent) was a startup incubator and small business accelerator. In the middle of all that\, he was recruited to startup an SaaS venture during the dot com days. 18 months into the launch and $5 million in revenues later\, Joe walked away after learning some very expensive and humbling lessons in partner/mentor selection. In 2008\, Joe discovered the 4 behavioral groups in the entrepreneurial eco-system and proceeded to call it BOSI (for Builder\, Opportunist\, Specialist and Innovator). He then wrote the manuscript for Entrepreneurial DNA and was blessed to find out that McGraw Hill Professional wanted to partner with him on the production and distribution of the book.
